What is Decoupage?
“Decoupage” means ‘cutting out’ in French, and is an art form involving cutting and pasting paper cut-outs onto a wood, metal, or glass surface. This art is very accessible for beginners, at same time has capabilities to take the experienced to artistic heights. From furniture, wooden boxes, trays, lampshades and more – you can decoupage anything! Decoupage has a long history, dating back many centuries, many works in museums.
Pam will provide boxes or chests, with plenty to choose from. Extra boxes will be available for a very small cost. All decoupage papers will be provided, with an endless supply to choose from. Attendees just need a bottle of Mod Podge, scissors etc. Extra information, images and a material list is available upon registration.
The workshops will run over four Saturdays from 9am to 12pm on February 25, March 4, March 11, and March 18.
