Eco-Dyeing Handmade Ceramics with Sue Bradshaw

September 16 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

$60.00

Join local multi-media artist and lover of plants, paper, hand printing and pottery – Sue Bradshaw from The Verandah Studio https://www.facebook.com/theverandahstudio/ in a 3-hour hands-on workshop.

Sue will teach you the process of transferring naturally occurring plant dyes onto handmade ceramic pieces. Watch patterns and colours from every day plants come to life – creating a canvas for you to treasure or share as a gift.

You will learn how to place and wrap foliage onto each piece, understand what a mordant is, why you use it and how you can enhance the natural results of the eco dyeing process with your own media like gauche, acrylic, ink and pastels.

Sue will provide plenty of personal guidance to quickly hone your skills and ensure you have a fun morning with like- minded people.

Once you’ve completed eco dyeing your pieces and applied any further decoration, you’ll seal them so they’re waterproof and ready to take home.
