Noosa Arts and Crafts is a hive of activity six days a week. We are fortunate to have so many talented tutors who are willing to share their skills with our members and visitors. At the moment, we have eight workshops offered – everything from hand-building teapots to painting with a palette knife. All the workshops are reasonably affordable too, as all are held in our heritage home – Wallace House.
We have over 20 activity groups which meet regularly – some weekly, some fortnightly or monthly – to learn, share and develop skills in our light, airy rooms. Membership is only $85 for the first year and $80 thereafter, to enjoy the facilities of the House, receive newsletters, attend activity groups and receive discounts on workshops.
We have a small gift shop on the gallery level which displays and sells the work of members. All items are handcrafted by members with good quality materials. We have a stunning array of greeting cards too. The shop is open weekdays from 9am to 3.30pm. We can take EFTPOS, credit cards and cash.
We have an online shop which again boasts unique items of art and craft created by our members. All items can be collected or shipped – pricing for other option is offered. Payments can be made by PayPal, credit card, direct deposit or cash on collection.
In August we are the hub for Noosa Open Studios and all participating artists will have a piece of their artwork on display in the house for you to look at before setting out on your art trail. There will be brochures and information available over the full ten days of the event.
We have our Spring Exhibition in October and our annual Christmas Sale at the end of November. This year our AGM will be held on December 9 when we will elected a new Management Committee for 2020..
Wallace House is always closed over the Christmas – New Year period to allow time for our office Co-ordinator Jean and members to enjoy the break with family and friends before returning in 2020 to restart their creative journey.
Our WEBSITE has full details of all our events, membership, activity groups, facilities and workshops, plus a short history of Wallace House. It’s worth taking a tour – it’s all happening in our House!
